Your honeymoon begins the moment you land. Our driver meets you at Cochin Airport with a welcome board and drives you through one of India’s most romantic hill roads to Munnar (130 km, ~4 hrs). Stop at Cheeyappara Waterfalls for your first photos together amid cascading water and mist. Pass through cardamom and rubber plantations as the landscape shifts from coastal flat to rolling green hills. Check into your resort — we recommend Rainwood Aurum for its valley-facing balcony rooms. Evening is at leisure: walk through the Munnar town market hand-in-hand, sip fresh cardamom tea from a roadside stall, and return to a flower bed decoration waiting in your room.

After breakfast with mountain views, visit the Tata Tea Museum to learn how Kerala’s famous tea is processed (and taste it fresh). Drive up to Mattupetty Dam — the lake surrounded by hills is a classic Munnar photo spot. Continue to Echo Point where your voices bounce off the valley walls. After lunch, visit Kundala Lake for a peaceful shikara boat ride together. Return to the resort by late afternoon. The evening is your romantic highlight: a private candlelight dinner arranged on the resort terrace or garden, with Kerala cuisine and a honeymoon cake.

Check out after breakfast and drive to Thekkady (110 km, ~3 hrs) through winding roads lined with pepper vines, coffee bushes, and cardamom plants. After checking into your resort (we recommend Spices Lap for its pool and couple-friendly cottages), head to Periyar Lake for an evening boat cruise — watch for wild elephants, bison, and exotic birds along the lakeshore. After dinner, attend a Kathakali classical dance performance together — the dramatic costumes and storytelling are unlike anything you have seen. Walk back through the spice market and pick up fresh vanilla, pepper, and cardamom as souvenirs.

After a relaxed breakfast, drive to Alleppey (170 km, ~4.5 hrs), the heart of Kerala’s famous backwaters. Board your private houseboat around 12 PM. This is the highlight of the honeymoon: a fully staffed boat with a bedroom, open deck, and a personal chef who prepares fresh Kerala fish curry, prawn fry, and coconut rice right on board. Cruise through narrow palm-fringed canals, watch village life on the banks, and as the sun sets over Vembanad Lake, the boat anchors in a quiet spot for the night. Stop at a waterfront cafe for Kerala filter coffee before heading to Cochin Airport or Railway Station for your journey home.
